ANTELOPE VALLEY MODEL RAILROAD CLUB 2 April 2004 Lancaster, California Minutes of the April 2004 regular business meeting. CALL TO ORDER President Tate called the meeting to order at 2000 hours in the Club car on the former AV Fairgrounds. ROLL CALL Members present: R. Boone, T. Crawford, D. Frozina, M. Lacey, M. McKinnie, H. Morris, N. Schultz, and D. Tate. Guests present: Geri Schultz, Bill Shiverdecker, and Mitchell Yost. DISPOSITION OF THE MINUTES Mr. Crawford moved and Mr. Morris seconded that the minutes from the last meeting be approved as written. The motion passed unanimously. COMMUNICATIONS Mr. Crawford and Mr. Frozina reported that we were e-mailed by the Coachella Valley Model Railroad Club asking us for permission to use our webpage weight calculators on their website. Permission granted. Mr. Frozina moved and Mr. Crawford seconded to move the agenda to unfinished business. The motion passed unanimously. UNFINISHED BUSINESS Truck and Crane: Mr. Tate reported that our move is scheduled for Thursday, 9 April 2004 at 0830 hours. Mr. Tate will call T & T Truck and Crane Service of Bakersfield to check on any last minute items. Granicys Square: Mr. Crawford reported that he donated $444.28 for the grading. Grading was done on Saturday, 3 April 2004. AV Fair: Mr. Tate reported that he received a call from Mr. Jacobs last Wednesday asking why we weren't off the former fairgrounds yet. SPECIAL ORDERS Mr. Schultz submitted his resignation from the Club. NEW BUSINESS Edison: Mr. Crawford and Mr. Tate will meet with an Edison representative next Monday to discuss power issues at Granicys Square. Phone Lines: Mr. Tate to arrange to have the phone lines at Granicys Square that are in the way of the move temporarily moved. Final Preparation: Mr. Crawford stated that we are as prepared for the move as we can be. Existing power to the Club car will be removed soon. Press Release: Mr. Frozina will write the press release for Mr. Tate to distribute to Adelphia, AV Press, and the Daily News. ANNOUNCEMENTS None. NEXT MEETING The next business meeting to be determined. Mr. Tate to call members with date, time and location. ADJOURNMENT Mr. Crawford moved and Mr. Morris seconded to adjourn the meeting.
