ANTELOPE VALLEY MODEL RAILROAD CLUB 23 April 2004 Lancaster, California Minutes of the April 2004 special business meeting. CALL TO ORDER President Tate called the meeting to order at 2012 hours in Mr. Boone's residence in Lancaster. ROLL CALL Members present: R. Boone, T. Crawford, D. Frozina, M. Lacey, M. McKinnie, H. Morris, and D. Tate. DISPOSITION OF THE MINUTES Mr. Crawford moved and Mr. Lacey seconded that the minutes from the last meeting be approved as written. The motion passed unanimously. COMMUNICATIONS Mr. Tate reported the he received a fax from T&T Truck and Crane Service with the amount due for our move. OFFICER REPORTS None. COMMITTEE REPORTS None. SPECIAL ORDERS The following were given out for assistance rendered during our move: 1-Year Honorary Memberships: Tom Fidger and Dave Mueller Certificate of Appreciation: Mitchell Yost UNFINISHED BUSINESS Truck and Crane: Mr. Tate reported that our move was successful, but occurred on Thursday, 15 April 2004. The crane and trucks arrived at the old Fairgrounds at 9:30 am and left Granicys at 10:30 pm. Total cost of the move was just over $9,200. Edison: Mr. Crawford reported that Edison would not allow us a separate billable meter, unless Granicys main panel is modified--at great cost. Mr. Crawford suggested that we obtain some poles, wire, boxes, meter and meter socket and do it ourselves. Mr. Crawford estimates the cost will be between $500 and $800. Phone Lines: Mr. Tate arranged for the phone lines at Granicys to be dropped to the ground so that the crane would not hit the lines, and later the lines were replaced. Press Release: Mr. Frozina wrote a press release for Mr. Tate. Mr. Tate took the press release to the AV Press, Daily News and Adelphia Cable. We received coverage from all three. NEW BUSINESS Intentions: Mr. Tate directed the Secretary to send an intentions letter to Ms. Cenkner for dues and assessment fees. ANNOUNCEMENTS None. NEXT MEETING The next business meeting to be determined. Mr. Tate to call members with date, time and location. ADJOURNMENT Mr. Crawford moved and Mr. Frozina seconded to adjourn the meeting.
