ANTELOPE VALLEY MODEL RAILROAD CLUB 10 September 2004 Lancaster, California Minutes of the September 2004 regular business meeting. CALL TO ORDER President Tate called the meeting to order at 2012 hours in Mr. Boone's residence in Lancaster. ROLL CALL Members present: R. Boone, T. Crawford, D. Frozina, M. Lacey, J. Madriaga, D. Tate, and M. Yost. Guests present: None. DISPOSITION OF THE MINUTES Mr. Boone moved and Mr. Lacey seconded that the minutes from the last meeting be approved as written. The motion passed unanimously. COMMUNICATIONS Mr. Crawford reported on mail from the following: Andy Gump, fence rental; Cal Bank and Trust, statements; J.A. Bash and Co., insurance; NMRA, bulletin; NMRA, dues; T&T Truck and Crane Service, remainder due bill. OFFICER REPORTS President: Mr. Tate reported that the man gate lock used the old AC shed key. Vice President: Mr. Crawford had no report. Secretary: Mr. Frozina reported that the website has been updated. Treasurer: Mr. Crawford reported that we're solvent. Publicist: Ms. Cenkner was absent. Superintendent: Mr. McKennie was absent. COMMITTEE REPORTS None. SPECIAL ORDERS Membership Termination: Ms. Cenkner has not paid dues since the beginning of the year, nor has she paid anything towards her assessment. Mr. Frozina moved and Mr. Crawford seconded to terminate her membership. The motion passed unanimously. UNFINISHED BUSINESS Dig Alert: Dig Alert was called to locate underground utilities. They came out and marked the placement of underground utilities. These marking lasted only a short while, as animal traffic obliterated them, although we do now know where to place the telephone pole. Electricity: Mr. Crawford reported on the installation of the offset, conduit, weatherhead, and meter. Mr. Crawford will see about "Twinkle Wire". NEW BUSINESS Pole Placement: Mr. Yost stated that we will arrange for and place one of the donated telephone poles at the southeast corner of the car. ANNOUNCEMENTS Palmdale Hobbies has been sold. The Los Angeles Live Steamers Railroad Museum will be having their Fall Meet from 1 October to 3 October, 2004. NEXT MEETING The next regular business meeting will be on Friday, 8 October 2004, at 2000 hours at the Club Car. ADJOURNMENT Mr. Yost moved and Mr. Crawford seconded to adjourn the meeting.
