Minutes of the March 2005 regular business meeting.
CALL TO ORDER
President Tate called the meeting to order at 2008 hours in the Club
Car at Granicys Square.
ROLL CALL
Members present: T. Crawford, T. Fidger, D. Frozina, M. Lacey,
J. Madriaga, M. McKennie, H. Morris, D. Tate, and M. Yost.
DISPOSITION OF THE MINUTES
Mr. Lacey moved and Mr. Crawford seconded that the minutes from the last
meeting be approved as written. The motion passed unanimously.
COMMUNICATIONS
Mr. Crawford reported on mail from the following: AV Bank, statement;
NMRA, magazine; Andy Gump, fence rental bill. Mr. Crawford also reported
on e-mails from the following: Larry Kaufman about a 12' x 13' HO layout
he's selling for $100; and Felix Voragan inquiring about where to purchase
a full-sized train coach.
OFFICER REPORTS
President: Mr. Tate had no report.
Vice President: Mr. Crawford mentioned we need to do something to get
our name out in the public arena again. Mr. Lacey will contact the Valley
Press and Mr. Frozina will put a blurb on the website.
Secretary: Mr. Frozina reported that the website has been updated,
and that the latest version of the membership roster was distributed.
Treasurer: Mr. Crawford reported that we're solvent.
Publicist: Mr. Lacey made note of his action item of contacting the
AV Press.
Superintendent: Mr. McKennie had no report.
COMMITTEE REPORTS
The following committees were established with the following chairs:
Construction: Mr. Yost
Electrical: Mr. Tate
Grounds: Mr. McKennie
Housekeeping: Mr. Lacey
Rolling Stock: Mr. Madriaga
Scenery/Structures: Mr. Morris
Track: Mr. Tate
SPECIAL ORDERS
None.
UNFINISHED BUSINESS
Electricity: Mr. Crawford reported that he corrected the issue with the
KWH meter.
Stairs: Mr. Yost reported that the top platform has been framed.
Mr. Crawford reported that the Trex® is onsite. Mr. Tate reported
that the foundation blocks have been set.
Chocks: Mr. Fidger reported that the metal pieces are ready for a
non-rainy weekend to install.
Work Party: Mr. Tate reported that he, Mr. Jefferson and Mr. Morris
moved the AC ducts under the car; cleaned the track; and actually ran
a train around the layout!
NEW BUSINESS
Work Party: Saturday, 5 March 2005 to work on the stairs, the chocks
and the blocks.
ANNOUNCEMENTS
None.
NEXT MEETING
The next regular business meeting will be on Friday, 15 April 2005,
at 2000 hours in the Club car.
ADJOURNMENT
Mr. Crawford moved and Mr. Tate seconded to adjourn the meeting. The
motion passed unanimously. The meeting adjourned at 2054 hours.
