ANTELOPE VALLEY MODEL RAILROAD CLUB 15 April 2005 Lancaster, California Minutes of the April 2005 regular business meeting. CALL TO ORDER President Tate called the meeting to order at 2006 hours in the Club Car at Granicys Square. ROLL CALL Members present: T. Crawford, T. Fidger, D. Frozina, G. Jefferson, M. Lacey, J. Madriaga, M. McKennie, H. Morris, D. Tate, and M. Yost. DISPOSITION OF THE MINUTES Mr. Yost moved and Mr. Tate seconded that the minutes from the last meeting be approved as written. The motion passed unanimously. COMMUNICATIONS Mr. Crawford reported on mail from the following: AV Bank, statement; NMRA, magazine; Andy Gump, fence rental bill. OFFICER REPORTS President: Mr. Tate had no report. Vice President: Mr. Crawford had no report. Secretary: Mr. Frozina reported that the website has been updated, Treasurer: Mr. Crawford reported that we're doing well. Publicist: Mr. Lacey had no report. Superintendent: Mr. McKennie had no report. COMMITTEE REPORTS Construction: Mr. Yost reported that the stairs platform is in and framed. Electrical: Mr. Tate had no report. Grounds: Mr. McKennie asked about replanting trees next to the car, and how we'll water them. Mr. Frozina suggested that if we plant trees, we put tree-rings around them Housekeeping: Mr. Lacey had no report. Rolling Stock: Mr. Madriaga had no report. Scenery/Structures: Mr. Morris had no report. Track: Mr. Tate had no report. SPECIAL ORDERS None. UNFINISHED BUSINESS Stairs: Stringers need to be made; Mr. Crawford will coordinate. Chocks: Mr. Fidger reported that Mr. Muller has welded them into place. NEW BUSINESS Locks: Mr. Crawford has the locksets, and Mr. McKennie will install. ANNOUNCEMENTS Mr. Jefferson reported on the latest news from the HDMMRC. They will be constructing 72 modules that depict the railroading from Mojave to Lang. Mr. Jefferson also asked if any members might want to build structures. Mr. Morris mentioned that there would be a GATS Show in Bakersfield next weekend. NEXT MEETING The next regular business meeting will be on Friday, 6 May 2005, at 2000 hours in the Club car. ADJOURNMENT Mr. Frozina moved and Mr. Crawford seconded to adjourn the meeting.
