ANTELOPE VALLEY MODEL RAILROAD CLUB 9 September 2005 Lancaster, California Minutes of the September 2005 regular business meeting. CALL TO ORDER President Tate called the meeting to order at 2000 hours in the Club Car at Granicys Square. ROLL CALL Members present: T. Fidger, D. Frozina, M. Lacey, J. Madriaga, H. Morris, D. Tate, and M. Yost. DISPOSITION OF THE MINUTES Mr. Yost moved and Mr. Madriaga seconded that the minutes from the last meeting be approved as written. The motion passed unanimously. COMMUNICATIONS Mr. Frozina reported on mail from: USPS, buy stamps online; two from AV Bank, statements; Andy Gump, fence rental bill; NMRA, dues and Scale Rails magazine. He also talked with Tom Crawford via phone. OFFICER REPORTS President: Mr. Tate mentioned that Granicys electrical panel fried a 200 amp breaker. Vice President: Mr. Fidger complained about not getting anything done. Secretary: Mr. Frozina reported that the website has been updated. He also reported that we were visited by former 1980's member George Becker, who might re-join. Treasurer: Mr. Frozina reported that we're solvent. Publicist: Mr. Lacey had no report. Superintendent: Mr. McKennie was absent. COMMITTEE REPORTS Construction: Mr. McKennie was absent. Electrical: Mr. Tate had no report. Grounds: Mr. McKennie was absent. Housekeeping: Mr. Lacey reported the he performed some general cleanup: put some stuff away and dumped the trash. Rolling Stock: Mr. Madriaga reported that he brought in some of his coal hoppers to populate the mine area. Scenery/Structures: Mr. Morris had no report. Track: Mr. Tate had no report. SPECIAL ORDERS None. UNFINISHED BUSINESS AC Doghouse: Mr. Morris still needs to compile a materials list for the structure. Fence: Nothing to report. Stairs: Mr. Yost reported the he has cut the rails. They will be bolted together. Mr. Fidger suggested that we weld them together, and will find a welder skilled in aluminum welding. Priority List: Mr. Tate compiles and posted a job priority list on the bulletin board. NEW BUSINESS Work Day: We need to schedule a Saturday workday in the near future. ANNOUNCEMENTS None. NEXT MEETING The next regular business meeting will be on Friday, 7 October 2005, at 2000 hours in the Club car. ADJOURNMENT Mr. Morris moved and Mr. Fidger seconded to adjourn the meeting.
