ANTELOPE VALLEY MODEL RAILROAD CLUB 14 October 2005 Lancaster, California Minutes of the October 2005 regular business meeting. CALL TO ORDER President Tate called the meeting to order at 2000 hours in the Club Car at Granicys Square. ROLL CALL Members present: R. Boone, T. Fidger, D. Frozina, M. Lacey, J. Madriaga, H. Morris, D. Tate, and M. Yost. Guest present: Bill Shiverdecker. DISPOSITION OF THE MINUTES Mr. Yost moved and Mr. Boone seconded that the minutes from the last meeting be approved as written. The motion passed unanimously. COMMUNICATIONS Mr. Frozina reported on mail from: AV Bank, statement; Andy Gump, fence rental bill; Lancaster Redevelopment Agency, flyer; NMRA, membership card. He also talked with Tom Crawford via phone. OFFICER REPORTS President: Mr. Tate reported that our electricity has been going on and off (one leg) since the breaker issue reported last month. Vice President: Mr. Fidger had no report. Secretary: Mr. Frozina reported that the website has been updated. He also reported that the October version of the Roster is available. Corrections need to be made, so a new version of the Roster will be available next month. Treasurer: Mr. Frozina reported that we're still able to meet our debts and discharge our liabilities. Publicist: Mr. Lacey had no report. Superintendent: Mr. McKennie was absent. COMMITTEE REPORTS Construction: Mr. McKennie was absent. Electrical: Mr. Tate had no report. Grounds: Mr. McKennie was absent. Housekeeping: Mr. Lacey had no report. Rolling Stock: Mr. Madriaga reported that he has been working on the club's rolling stock. Scenery/Structures: Mr. Morris had no report. Track: Mr. Tate had no report. SPECIAL ORDERS None. UNFINISHED BUSINESS AC Doghouse: Nothing to report. Fence: Nothing to report. Stairs: Mr. Yost reported that the handrails are ready for welding. Mr. Fidger to secure the welder. NEW BUSINESS Elections: Mr. Frozina reported that at the November meeting we will have officer nominations, and at the December meeting will have the election. Holiday Party: Mr. Frozina suggested that we host a holiday party this year and invite the other model railroad clubs to join in the festivities. After some discussion on the place, it was decided to go to the Royal Buffet in Lancaster. Target date is December 16, 2005 at 7 pm. Mr. Fidger will coordinate with the restaurant and the other clubs. ANNOUNCEMENTS None. NEXT MEETING The next regular business meeting will be on Friday, 4 November 2005, at 2000 hours in the Club car. ADJOURNMENT Mr. Frozina moved and Mr. Lacey seconded to adjourn the meeting.
