CALL TO ORDER President Tate called the meeting to order at 2000 hours in the Club Car at Granicys Square. ROLL CALL Members present: R. Boone, T. Fidger, D. Frozina, M. Lacey, J. Madriaga, M. McKennie, D. Tate and M. Yost. Guest present: None. DISPOSITION OF THE MINUTES Mr. Madriaga moved and Mr. Boone seconded that the minutes from the last meeting be approved as written. The motion passed unanimously. COMMUNICATIONS Mr. Frozina reported on mail from: USPS, PO Box renewal; NMRA, Scale Rails Magazine; AV Bank, statement. Posted on our door was a notice of a model RR for sale. OFFICER REPORTS President: Mr. Tate reported that our electrical issues are solved. The defective component in Granicy's electrical panel, a removeable fuse disconnect, was replaced. Vice President: Mr. Fidger had no report. Secretary: Mr. Frozina had no report. Treasurer: Mr. Frozina reported that we're still solvent. Publicist: Mr. Lacey had no report. Superintendent: Mr. McKennie had no report. COMMITTEE REPORTS Construction: Mr. McKennie had no report. Electrical: Mr. Tate had no report. Grounds: Mr. McKennie had no report. Housekeeping: Mr. Lacey had no report. Mr. McKennie reported that he fixed the carpet by the door. Rolling Stock: Mr. Madriaga reported that he has a lead on replacement wheels for the club's Athearn Metrolink cars. Scenery/Structures: Mr. Morris was absent. Track: Mr. Tate had no report. Mr. Madriaga reported that the spur to the Paper Mill has a broken track and that the top part of the helix needs a new section. SPECIAL ORDERS Ballots were distributed to eligible voting members, filled out, collected, and counted by Mr. Frozina. Mr. Frozina reported on the election outcome. The following persons were elected to office for 2006: President: Tom Fidger Vice President: Mike Lacey Secretary: Don Frozina Treasurer: Don Tate Publicist: Hank Morris Superintendent: Mitch Yost The President, Vice President, Secretary and Treasurer will all have signature authority to sign checks for the club. UNFINISHED BUSINESS AC Doghouse: Mr. Morris has built an 8x8 ft. platform for the base. Fence: Nothing to report. Stairs: Mr. Yost reported that the welder he contacted in Rosamond said the welding of the stair rails could be up to $300. It was decided that we will use wood for the stair rails. Holiday Party: Mr. Fidger contacted the restaurant and reserved the banquet room. The party will be 16 December 2005 at 7:30 at the Royal Buffet on Ave. K and 10th St. West. NEW BUSINESS Calendar: The first Friday will be the meeting night. The third Friday will be the operating session night. The second Saturday (starting at 9 am, 3 hours minimum) will be the work day. ANNOUNCEMENTS Mr. Madriaga reported that Golden Emipre Model RR Club of Bakersfield will be having a swap meet. NEXT MEETING The next regular business meeting will be on Friday, 6 January 2006, at 2000 hours in the Club car. ADJOURNMENT Mr. Lacey moved and Mr. Fidger seconded to adjourn the meeting.
