ANTELOPE VALLEY MODEL RAILROAD CLUB 06 January 2006 Lancaster, California Minutes of the January 2006 regular business meeting. CALL TO ORDER President Fidger called the meeting to order at 2002 hours in the Club Car at Granicys Square. ROLL CALL Members present: T. Fidger, D. Frozina, M. Lacey, J. Madriaga, M. McKennie, H. Morris, D. Tate and M. Yost. Guest present: Richard Harris. DISPOSITION OF THE MINUTES Mr. Tate moved and Mr. Lacey seconded that the minutes from the last meeting be approved as corrected. The motion passed unanimously. COMMUNICATIONS Mr. Frozina reported on mail from: AV Bank, statement; Andy Gump, 2 fence rental bills; NMRA, Scale Rails Magazine. OFFICER REPORTS President: Mr. Fidger reported on the combined train clubs dinner at the Royal Buffet Restaurant in Lancaster. Only Mr. Frozina and his family and Mr. Yost represented our club. Mr. Fidger ended up working late that day and was unable to attend. Vice President: Mr. Lacey had no report. Secretary: Mr. Frozina reported that the website has been updated. Treasurer: Mr. Tate reported that we are solvent. Publicist: Mr. Morris had no report. Superintendent: Mr. Yost had no report. COMMITTEE REPORTS Construction: Mr. McKennie will remain chairman of this committee. Electrical: Mr. Tate will remain chairman of this committee. Grounds: Mr. McKennie will remain chairman of this committee. Housekeeping: Mr. Lacey will remain chairman of this committee. Rolling Stock: Mr. Madriaga will remain chairman of this committee. Scenery/Structures: Mr. Morris will remain chairman of this committee. Track: Mr. Tate will remain chairman of this committee. SPECIAL ORDERS None. UNFINISHED BUSINESS AC Doghouse: Materials will be gathered; construction to begin next workday. Fence: Nothing to report. Stairs: Mr. Fidger to pickup the necessary materials. Construction to begin next workday. NEW BUSINESS Scrap Yard: Mr. Morris mentioned that he went by a scrap yard in Tehachapi the other day and spied a metal landing with attached stairs. Mr. Morris has a call into the yard to see if (and how much) the landing and stairs are for sale. ANNOUNCEMENTS Mr. Madriaga reported that Golden Empire Model RR Club of Bakersfield will be having a swap meet at the Bakersfield Fairgrounds, Jan. 14-15. There will be a GATS show Feb. 7-8 at the Anaheim Convention Center. NEXT MEETING The next regular business meeting will be on Friday, 3 February 2006, at 2000 hours in the Club car.
