ANTELOPE VALLEY MODEL RAILROAD CLUB 03 February 2006 Lancaster, California Minutes of the February 2006 regular business meeting. CALL TO ORDER President Fidger called the meeting to order at 2002 hours in the Club Car at Granicys Square. ROLL CALL Members present: R. Boone, T. Fidger, D. Frozina, J. Madriaga, M. McKennie, H. Morris, D. Tate and M. Yost. Guest present: Richard Harris. DISPOSITION OF THE MINUTES Mr. Morris moved and Mr. Tate seconded that the minutes from the last meeting be approved as written. The motion passed unanimously. COMMUNICATIONS None. OFFICER REPORTS President: Mr. Fidger congratulated the members on making good progress with the stair railings. Vice President: Mr. Lacey was absent. Secretary: Mr. Frozina had no report. Treasurer: Mr. Tate reported that we are solvent. He also reported that he has loaded the refrigerator with sodas--still 50 cents each. Publicist: Mr. Morris reported that when we're ready to go, he needs 30 days so that we can get into AV Magazine. Superintendent: Mr. Yost had no report. COMMITTEE REPORTS Construction: Mr. McKennie had no report. Electrical: Mr. Tate had no report. Grounds: Mr. McKennie reported that the construction mess outside has been tidied-up. Housekeeping: Mr. Lacey was absent. Rolling Stock: Mr. Madriaga reported that he will call NWSL again about replacement wheels for our Athearn Metrolink cars. Scenery/Structures: Mr. Morris had no report. Track: Mr. Tate reported that the guardrail on the bridge over Lake Cheeky has been re-attached. Also that the rail after the switch to the Paper Mill has been soldered. SPECIAL ORDERS New Member: Richard Harris was welcomed into the Club. UNFINISHED BUSINESS AC Doghouse: Piers and platform ready to install at the next Saturday workday. Fence: Nothing to report. Stairs: Mr. McKennie reported that the North railings were installed and that the treads were outline for better night visibility. Scrap Yard Landing: Mr. Morris had no report. NEW BUSINESS None. ANNOUNCEMENTS Mr. Morris reported that there will be a one-day train swap meet in Pomona on 25 February. NEXT MEETING The next regular business meeting will be on Friday, 3 March 2006, at 2000 hours in the Club car. ADJOURNMENT Mr. Tate moved and Mr. Frozina seconded to adjourn the meeting.
