ANTELOPE VALLEY MODEL RAILROAD CLUB 4 May 2007 Lancaster, California Minutes of the May 2007 regular business meeting. CALL TO ORDER President Fidger called the meeting to order at 2005 hours in the Club Car at Granicy's Square. ROLL CALL Members present: T. Fidger, D. Frozina, M. Lacey, J. Madriaga, M. McKennie, H. Morris and C. Stilson. Guest present: None. DISPOSITION OF THE MINUTES Mr. Stilson moved and Mr. Morris seconded that the minutes from the March meeting be approved as written. The motion passed unanimously. COMMUNICATIONS Mr. Tate was absent. OFFICER REPORTS President: Mr. Fidger reminded the members that we will have our annual cleanup and BBQ on 19 May. Vice President: Mr. Lacey reported that he saw a newspaper article on the Modular HO Scale Club in the AV Press. Secretary: Mr. Frozina reported that he updated the flyer and has printed copies on a multitude of color paper. Treasurer: Mr. Tate was absent, but Mr. Fidger reported that we were solvent. Publicist: Mr. Morris had no report. Superintendent: Mr. McKennie reported that the track has been cleaned and trains have ran. COMMITTEE REPORTS Construction: Mr. McKennie also suggested that we try to get a donation of RR ties for fence posts to save funds. Electrical: Mr. Tate was absent. Grounds: Mr. McKennie had no report. Housekeeping: Mr. Lacey reminded everyone about the cleaning day on Saturday, 19 May 2007 at 8 am. Rolling Stock: Mr. Madriaga reported that he has finished with the hopper cars; that he is now working on the pulpwood cars; that he checked the motors in the Zephyr locos; that he check the wheel gauge on the SP and Cotton Belt tunnel motor locos; and that the track gauge at AH Junction needs to be checked. Scenery/Structures: Mr. Morris is looking for the turntable bridge. Track: Mr. Tate was absent. SPECIAL ORDERS None. UNFINISHED BUSINESS Doghouse: Mr. McKennie had no report. Stairs: Mr. McKennie had his laptop and showed us the plans for the west deck and stairs, which were then approved. Club Cards: Mr. Morris had no report. NEW BUSINESS Cleanup Day: 19 May at 8 am. Mr. Fidger to bring BBQ, hamburger meat and hot dogs. Mr. Stilson to bring hamburger and hot dog buns, ketchup, mustard and relish. Mr. Frozina to bring chips and potato salad. Mr. Lacey to bring utensils and plates. Mr. Madriaga to bring desserts. Mr. Tate to bring various refreshments. ANNOUNCEMENTS NEXT MEETING The next regular business meeting will be on Friday, 1 June 2007, at 2000 hours in the Club car.
