ANTELOPE VALLEY MODEL RAILROAD CLUB 4 September 2007 Lancaster, California Minutes of the September 2007 regular business meeting. CALL TO ORDER President Fidger called the meeting to order at 0940 hours on the patio of the Club Car at Granicy's Square. ROLL CALL Members present: T. Fidger, D. Frozina, M. Lacey, J. Madriaga, D. Tate and M. Yost. Guest present: None. DISPOSITION OF THE MINUTES Mr. Tate moved and Mr. Lacey seconded that the minutes from the August meeting be approved as written. The motion passed unanimously. COMMUNICATIONS Mr. Tate reported that we received mail from: AV Bank, statement; Andy Gump, fence rental bill; NMRA, Scale Rails magazine. OFFICER REPORTS President: Mr. Fidger reported on the whereabouts of Mr. McKennie and Mr. Stilson. Vice President: Mr. Lacey had no report. Secretary: Mr. Frozina reported on the AVR Rules Booklet project that Mr. Veihdeffer and he originally worked upon in 2001. A revised sample was passed around for comment. Treasurer: Mr. Tate reported that we're solvent. Publicist: No report. Superintendent: Mr. McKennie was absent. COMMITTEE REPORTS Construction: Mr. McKennie was absent. Electrical: Mr. Tate had no report. Grounds: Mr. McKennie was absent. Housekeeping: Mr. Lacey had no report. Rolling Stock: Mr. Madriaga reported that he is working on the club's locomotives. Scenery/Structures: No report. Track: Mr. Tate had no report. SPECIAL ORDERS Mr. Frozina tendered his resignation as Secretary and Webmaster, but will continue as a member. Mr. Fidger thanked Mr. Frozina for his many years service in both positions. Mr. Fidger then appointed Mr. Stilson as Secretary and Mr. McKennie as Webmaster. UNFINISHED BUSINESS Doghouse: No report. Stairs: Framing finished, tops and railings primed. Club Cards: Mr. Frozina apologized for not having samples available for inspection. DCC Breakers: Mr. Tate had no report. DCC Upgrade Chip: Mr. Frozina reported that we still need to contact NCE for assistance. Sandwich Board: Mr. Fidger to look into. NEW BUSINESS None. ANNOUNCEMENTS Mr. Frozina sadly reported that Mr. Fred Frederickson, honorary member, passed away shortly before the beginning of the AV Fair. Mr. Frederickson will be greatly missed. NEXT MEETING The next regular business meeting will be on Saturday, 6 October 2007 at 0930 hours in the Club car. ADJOURNMENT Mr. Tate moved and Mr. Yost seconded to adjourn the meeting.
