January 1999 Minutes
January 8, 1999 at 2017 hours.
Club Car on the Antelope Valley Fair Grounds.
The meeting was called to order at the place, on the date and at the time
above written and there were present the following members: J. Beasley,
T. Crawford, D. Frozina, R. Wetzel and N. Schultz. Guests: Mike Lacey.
The minutes were read and approved as written.
Communications:
A. Several Christmas cards.
B. Bank statements.
C. Utility bills.
Officer Reports -- unless mentioned there was no report.
A. President -- Letters offering sustaining memberships are to
be sent to Mr. Browning and Mr. Morris.
B. Treasurer -- We are solvent.
Committee Appointments
A. The President made the following appointments.
1. Construction -- Mr. Jamison
2. Control -- Mr. Beasley
3. Housekeeping -- Mr. Crawford
4. Rolling Stock -- Mr. Schultz
5. Scenery and Structures -- Mr. Veideffer
6. Track -- Mr. Wetzel
Committee Reports -- unless mentioned there was no report.
A. Track -- The reverse loops are in the works.
B. Publicity -- Plans for a stand with a pocket for holding
flyers is under consideration.
Unfinished Business
A. Mr. Beasley is looking into information on the Atlas time
saver.
B. Wheels purchase still pending.
New Business
A. It was moved, seconded and passed to keep the monthly dues
at their current amount.
B. It was moved, seconded, amended, seconded and passed to set
the assessment at the amount specified in the by laws.
The next business meeting will be held on February 5, 1999.
The meeting was closed at 2103 hours.
