Club Car on the Antelope Valley Fair Grounds.

The meeting was called to order at the place, on the date and at the
time above written by Mr. Beasley, and there were present the following
members: T. Crawford, D. Frozina, M. Lacey, H. Morris, R. Wetzel, and
J. Wetzel.

The following guests were present: John Madriaga, and William Taras.

The minutes were read and approved as corrected.

Communications -- None

Officer Reports -- unless mentioned there was no report.
    A.  Treasurer -- We are solvent. 6520 visitors during the fair. Some
        donations included a restroom token from Indiana, a Canadian
        dime, a 100 peso coin, and two sticks of gum.
    B.  Publicity -- Extensive changes to web site.
    C.  Superintendent -- Good fair.

Committee Reports -- unless mentioned there was no report.
    A.  Electrical -- Need to complete the CTC panel; materials ordered,
        some received.
    B.  Track -- Bad turnout in AH Junction; needs to be replaced.

Special Orders
    A.  Don Tate signed-up and became a probationary member.

Unfinished Business
    A.  Mrs. Crawford made curtains for rear lower level.  Need to figure
        out how to hang them.
    B.  The banner, which we purchased in conjunction with the AV
        N'scalers, was here for the fair.
    C.  Digital postal scale was purchased.
    D.  According to the Superintendant, Mr. Crawford, the self-teching
        of locos and rolling stock went OK.

New Business
    A.  Moved, seconded and passed to allot $200.00 for purchase of
        motors and drive line components re-motor the the Tunnel Motors.
    B.  Moved, seconded and passed to allot $10.00 for purchase of drive
        line components to repair the WP F units.
    C.  Moved, seconded and passed to reserve $1000.00 towards insurance
        next year.
    D.  Moved, seconded and passed to reserve $500.00 towards our move in
        2003.

Announcements
    A.  Friends of S.T.E.A.M. dedication at 10 AM in downtown Boron,
        October 16, 1999.

The meeting was closed at 2106 hours.
